Little Mia

I created this portrait of Mia in Procreate app. It is very intresting to draw someone you are so familiar with. You have the feel of the person and all you want is for others to experience it too. She is 2,5. She is adorable and joyfull. I wanted to capture her essense for a moment, while she is this age. When drawing her, I couldn't stop remebering how active and determined she in every move. She knows what she needs, she doesn't hesitate for a second before chasing a pigeon, or grabbing your hand and dragging you somewhere to show you a fly, or putting a pencil in your hand and ordering you to colour in pictures of Peppa the Pig with her. When she does, you can't choose your pencils, she must select them for you. This piece captures a rare moment when she stopped for a short break. When I look at this piece I see her running away the next moment very vividly. In the process of drawing her I was figuring out what style and feel I want this to be. And it resulted in what I am very inclined to draw- contemporary realism.
