This portrait of Taylor R, was done in Photoshop in 2019. It is one of the first digital portraits I've done. This wonderful young woman lives in Hong Kong. She is what we call now an influencer. She, for sure, influences and inspires me. After watching her videos I feel refreshed and light. She is kind to others, strong, and very relatable. TayTay is obviously very beautiful and I couldn't resist drawing her. As a starting I faced quite a few problems when creating this piece. I struggled with the form, light, shadow, anatomy and, most importantly-the simple lack of practice. I started with a simple grid to establish a form and the direction the head was pointing to and mapped the face. Then, after adding blocks of colour, I procedeed with "sculpting" and refining until I felt like it was ready.
